P.S. watch this and maybe you'll understand, it gave me chills...

as noted in my previous post. TOMORROW we head to st. simons for the GEORGIA/FLORIDA game! quite possibly the highlight of many athenians semester, or year. if you haven't heard of it, it's been refered to as the world's largest outdoor cocktail party, and it sure is.
friday we head to the beach.... here we deck out in either "fratty" attire or halloween costumes. the beach is covered in college kids, coolers, beer cans, and shoes. here we dance on coolers to the multiple sound systems set up, see possibly everyone we know at the university and get the chance to dip our feet in the water.
on saturday morning, we load up fraternity busses and head to jacksonville for the game! last year mary clare and i snuck into the student section, seventh row. the stadium is split down the middle, red and black, and blue and orange. it looks really cool. i couldn't breath for about five minutes after the team came out in black pants with black helments due to screaming too much. we lost but it was still fun!
i think aj green pointed directly at me when they came out. no joke. aj if you ever read my blog, this is me confessing my love for you.
we somehow find our way back to the bus, usually have some sort of dance party on the way home and head to sea island or other houses around st. simons to squeeze the last bit of fun out of the weekend that we can.
i haven't had the joy of making the trip home after a win yet, but i've got a great feeling that this is the year! GOOOO DAWGS SIC'EM!

no worries. we're headed to st. simons in two short days! i can't wait to walk into our house on the beach. while summertime is clearly the best to be at the ocean, the sea is wonderful no matter what the weather. and i personally love a little chill in the air for strolls by the water, or lazy days wrapped in a blanket on the porch. i'm itching to get back.

hello perfect fall! today walking around campus i was really soaking up this great fall weather, recently it's been perfect. not too hot, not too cold, just right. with the best breeze ever. God really knows what he's doing. the trees are beginning to change and the leaves are starting to swirl around you when the wind blows, it's wonderful. i want to lay in the funny blue hammock in our front yard and fall asleep, breathing in the sweet fall air. i'm looking forward to the next few weeks full of beautiful autumn days. and with georgia winning again, things are really looking up.

these pictures remind me of you laura lilly. you and all your books. stacked up on your window sill in your periwinkle room. they also remind me of what i want to be, a better reader. i get too lazy, and would rather watch law and order reruns than curl up with a good book. but i'm going to work on this, because i miss reading. and these pictures are my inspiration....

yesterday i made pumpkin muffins. yum! i think the best part was that they made the house smell so good, it was perfect for fall. i even added chocolate chips to a few of them which is absolutely delicious. they are the best snack and perfect to grab before my 8 am. can't wait to make pumpkin bread once these run out.
i don't care what the reviews say i loved sex and the city 2!

i just got back from a great biblestudy. we talked about living a purposeful life. what does it mean to live purposefully? how does that look for each person? what a tough question, i mean isn't this what so many of us search for our entire lives. finding that road to happiness. what if each morning we woke up and said "Lord let this day be yours, let me live for you, i give you my day," can you image how different our day would be? I image all of my interactions would be so purposeful, my heart would be so full of joy that a smile would never leave my face and God would show me each moment how i was using my time to live purposefully whether i knew it or not. it just makes you take a step back and say what am i doing all of this for? am i being selfish or selfless? do i show God's love to those i interact without throughout my day. i think living purposefully comes through our daily actions, and our decisions that affect the way we will live our lifes. just something to think about for me this week. i think it's a good way to start out a new month. with the fresh idea of living a purposeful life. the way God wants me to live my life, to it's fullest!

what a beautiful song about giving glory to God.

this chilly weather has me dreaming of this scene... what i would give to lay by the water, wrapped up in a blanket, surrounded by pillows and just watch the wind blow by, that candle would be lovely to light at night as well.
i remember riding back from the georgia florida game my freshman year listening to "every dawg has it's day" by corey smith. what a sad loss, and what a relevant song. we haven't had the best seasons the past two years, but people have still been excited about georgia football. this year is a different story. i'm longing for some big plays like these, but more than big plays because we've had some of those this year, but some big wins. i have faith, this is the georgia bulldogs here. maybe i'm an eternal optimist, and 1-4 is no way to start out a season, especially in the SEC, especially against the teams we've been playing. but i will continue to have faith in these boys... because every dawg has his day. and i believe ours is coming.

a few days late, but happy breast cancer awareness month!

my second favorite quote from a starbucks hot chocolate cup....

"the world would be a boring place if everyone wore a size two. i love being a size twenty two, just like i love a gaint cup of hot chocolate with extra whipped cream. F.A.T. (fabulous and thick) folks know that it's the extras in life- like pounds, cash and love- that give us character. embrace the extras baby." -mo'nique
