just saw a commercial for a new high definition beauty and beast, i think this is something i'm going to have to invest in...

if you know my dad, you would understand this. but he used to sing "anderson and bart" instead of "beauty and the beast." haha i loved it, and i still do. i'll never forget on my 18th birthday (right after he'd gotten his new itouch) he called me into his room and played this video of celine dion singing the song on the tv for me. gotta admit i really like this song, her voice rocks too.

wouldn't it be cool if i could hail a magical taxi to get me back to north carolina tomorrow. don't get me wrong i do enjoy the six hour drive and it's really not even that bad alone, i sing as loud as i want to, and can play as much reba as i want (since no one else loves her like i do) or moulin rouge sound track. but i have a feeling i'm going to be exhausted after my two tests, and it would be great if i could hop into one of these and ride in glamour back to raleigh.

and then i could arrive like this... with ballons because anytime i get to go home is a reason to celebrate. and these would make me even more happy than i am.

i don't know if badass is an ok word to describe these dresses, maybe elegant or timeless or trendy... but i would still say badass.

who doesn't love coca-cola in a glass bottle. this just happens to be one of my favorite small joys. one of my best friends anne always has these at her house in raleigh. they even have a little cap opener on the wall next the mini fridge that holds these delicious treats. i remember always wanting to buy these at the beach in high school. there's just something about summertime and sunshine and good music and coca-cola in a glass bottle. it doesn't get much better than that. i'd love to sit on the porch with anne and friends, drinking an ice cold coca-cola someday soon.
this song has been playing a lot through the walls of our house. loving it right now. (youtube has the weirdest pictures sometimes)

it's been raining all day on this peaceful sunday here in athens. unfortunately i had a lot of work left to do before the week starts. with the series of events that took place this weekend, all i really wanted to do was lay in my bed, watch a movie and drink some hot chocolate.

today i found a lot of comfort in the following verse: "create in me a pure heart God and make my spirit right again." -Psalm 51:10

i guess this is easier asked than done sometimes. but i know God doesn't give up on me, he hears my heart and he's ready to conquer it. i woke up to the rain and i said to myself "today is a new day." and i got up and took a positive look at what i had in front of me. that's all. sometimes i'm thankful for days like today.
things i'm loving right now....

my favorite season is upon us. happy fall everyone!
jcrew's fall line. mainly i'm just ready for boot season.
in high school this meant a cup of hot chocolate at friday night football games. i just love the feeling of wrapping my hands around a warm coffee mug.
and oh the joy of jumping into a pile of leaves. hope to find some good ones around mell st. we used to put our piles in the bags that looked like jack-o-laterns around halloween time. man this guy got some air...

"Be compassionate. and take responsibility for each other. If we only learned those lessons, this world would be so much better a place... Love each other or die."--Tuesday's With Morrie
what if we all lived life like this? crazy and passionately and in love and totally in the moment...

i'm usually really grossed out by feet. as in if someone sitting near me touches my foot, i freak out and get really uncomfortable. weird i know. but i love it when we're cuddling and jack touches my feet, not in a weird way or anything, just in a loving way. he would probably be quite embarrassed to know i was sharing this on my blog but oh well i shared this fact with all of his friends the other night. he always has cold feet which makes me laugh. he also always tickles my feet which sometimes turns out to be a problem for him (i am very ticklish and have a tendency to hit when someone tries to get me). i don't know i just get smiley thinking about laying in bed "playing footsie" (gosh that sounds dumb), i guess it's just a happy feeling for me.
i also wouldn't care if my baby touches my feet. i think i would love every minute of that. or my dog, belle can lay on my feet all she wants to and i would love it. can't wait for the three, or four, or five of us to lay in bed together. i know it's a longgg way away, but it'll sure be great. i also just really like this picture.

i just figured out how to make these awesome "widgets" on grooveshark. check it out, it's super easy. here are some of the wonderful songs we listened to on our wonderful road trip to chapel hill (i've already blogged about "you send me" but goodness it's such a great song). we were in christina's car loopy (which doesn't have ac), so we rode with the windows down the entire way! needless to say we all looked gross, our hair was a hot mess, and our voices were gone from belting out songs like these the whole way. when we reached north carolina it cooled down and it felt perfect to be home. i can't wait til the next time i can return and it's actually fall, carolina you keep calling me home...
i wish my hair looked like this.
and i was at a party like this.
and i had a dress like this.

labor day is here. i spent the best morning walking with klug, eating lunch at last resort and then laying out and swimming at a beautiful neighborhood pool. it was the best way to spend what seems to be the official end of summer. i'm a little sad it's time to say goodbye to all the white (although i'll probably break the rule while it's still hot), the weekends at the beach and the feeling that it's ok to be slack even though school has already started. fall really is my favorite season and i'm looking forward to the cooler weather and football season. but for now goodbye summer, i really will miss you. thanks, it's been great.

it's (almost) saturday in athens!
i can't wait to wear my georgia g on my face, and my chi loves the dawgs stickers and dress up in red and black.
i'm dying to return to the wonderful sanford stadium.
i think i may cry when i see all these guys running on the field.
or go crazy when the team leads the fans in a dance.
gosh, nothing beats football season. nothing.
