happy valentines day to you and yours! i love this day so much, i may be single but i'm trying to keep my mind focused on ALL the love that is in my life today! because its valentine's, its a day to be happy not sad and a day to celebrate the joy of love that surrounds all of us.

just wanted to post that two days ago, at the queen of hearts assembly, i watched a senior in highschool stand up and sing american honey. she almost died in a car accident in august. she was in a coma and the doctors were unsure of what her brain function would be when she woke up. and she is healthy and stood up and sang beautifully in front of a gym full of people. God is absolutely amazing, and his miracles are working every single day.

i got really excited when i saw this photo yesterday because well, it reminded me of my blog. i created this blog my sophomore year of college when i was in bed and miserable after getting my tonsils out (almost 4 springs ago ahh). i found inspiration for a name in a quote that i still find comfort in...

"sometimes you just feel lucky... because you've been given this chance to change your life."

so thank you christina applegate for serving as my reminder that we are given so many opportunities to make our life the life that we want it to be. and for that we are truly blessed and lucky!
